Attention, All Employers: Two mandatory DOL Posting Changes Require Immediate Action

On July 27, 2016, the Department of Labor (DOL) issued regulations that require all U.S. employers to update their employee postings. Businesses must replace the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) postings immediately to meet the August 2016 compliance date.

Here are more details on the posting changes:

FLSA poster – Added policies about mandatory breaks for nursing mothers and correctly classifying independent contractors, among other updates
EPPA poster – Revised information related to penalties and fines for not posting

What does this mean for your business?

All businesses with at least one employee must update both postings to stay compliant, or face potential fines. And it’s important to act now to meet the August 2016 effective date.
