6/1/11 — On May 13, 2011, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal signed The Illegal Immigration Reform and Enforcement Act of 2011. The law, which goes into effect on July 1, 2011, requires public employers to obtain affidavits from contractors (and any subcontractors and sub-subcontractors) stating that they are enrolled in and use E-Verify. The law also requires private employers with more than ten employees to use E-Verify for new hires. It goes into effect for employers with 500 or more employees on January 1, 2012, for employers with 499 to 100 employees on July 1, 2012, and for employers with 99 to 11 employees on July 1, 2013.

08/09/07 - The Georgia Workers' Compensation Part 3 poster was updated to reflect an increase in the maximum weekly income benefit from $450 to $500 and an increase in the temporary partial disability benefit from $330 to $334 per week.

08/05/06 - The poster was updated to reflect that the total compensation payable to widowed spouse with no children is limited to $150,000. It was previously $125,000.
