Recent Mandatory Changes:
Workers' Compensation
8/9/12 — The Texas Workers’ Compensation posters have been updated effective January 1, 2013. All the posters were updated to clarify “illness” means “occupational illness.” The covered employer and self-insured employer poster was updated to reflect that the Division of Workers’ Compensation will process any requests for dispute resolution of a claim, and the Office of Injured Employee Counsel (OIEC) will provide free assistance and explain an injured employees’ rights and responsibilities. The non-covered employer poster was updated to reflect that an injured employee should contact their employer regarding the availability of benefits for a work-related injury or occupational disease. This is a mandatory change.
Child Labor
4/7/12 — The Texas Child Labor poster has been updated to reflect some revisions/rewording to the prohibited occupations for 14 through 17 year old children and the addition of prohibited occupations that apply only under state law. This is a mandatory change to a recommended poster.
Radiation Notice to Employees - HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY SPECIFIC
10/12/09 — The Texas Radiation Notice to Employees for Dental Offices poster was updated with a change to the agency name and some rewording on the poster. The Texas Department of Health was renamed to the Department of State Health Services.
Ombudsman Notice to Employees
01/03/07 - New poster offering, Employer Notification of Ombudsman Program to Employees.
