Simplify Administration of COVID-Related Leave Requests
In addition to all the laws and regulations already in place, employers now need to abide by new laws created to protect workers affected by COVID-19. One of the new laws passed was the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
Effective April 1 through December 31, 2020, this law requires private employers with fewer than 500 employees to provide paid time off and expanded leave to employees due to certain COVID-related absences. Some examples include the employee’s own illness or exposure to the virus, self-quarantine advised by a healthcare provider, the need to care for a family member affected by the virus, and inability to work because of a child’s school or daycare closure. The U.S. Department of Labor recently clarified that camp closures during the summer may also qualify. See more details...
The FFCRA Compliance Bundle helps employers fully comply with the new federal emergency paid leave law and easily capture the documentation needed to qualify for federal tax credits.
Updated to comply with revised FFCRA regulations released by the U.S. Department of Labor in September 2020.
