Languages

 

The English version automatically includes any foreign language translations that are required by law for all employers regardless of languages spoken in the workplace. Spanish and Bilingual options are for situations where the requirement varies based on languages spoken by employees.

 

To comply fully with federal and state posting regulations:

  • Choose Bilingual if: 1) you are in Pennsylvania and have at least one Spanish-speaking employee, OR 2) you are in any other state and have a substantial number of Spanish-speaking employees who are not proficient in English.
  • Choose English if: 1) You are in Pennsylvania and do not have any Spanish-speaking employees, OR 2) you are in any other state and do not have a substantial number of Spanish-speaking employees who are not proficient in English.
  • Choose Spanish if your English postings are up-to-date and you only need to add or update the Spanish postings.

Note: Federal regulations do not define ‘substantial number.’ For maximum legal protection, we recommend you post in Spanish (in addition to English) if you have any Spanish-speaking employees who are not proficient in English.
