Clear Law Institute’s online training, Positive Workplace: Preventing Harassment at Work, teaches employees how to identify, prevent and report sexual harassment and other forms of unlawful harassment. The training:

  •          Covers all required training content under federal guidelines
  •          Includes all required content under state-specific laws such as those in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, and New York State and New York City
  •          Covers not just sexual harassment but all forms of unlawful harassment
  •          Addresses topics such as abusive conduct and bystander intervention, which are required topics in certain jurisdictions

Clear Law Institute ensures that each employee gets the training they need, depending on where they work and their position. Each employee will take one of three versions:

• Advanced (2 hours): For California supervisors and Connecticut supervisors and non-supervisors.
• Extended (1 hour): For California non-supervisors.
• Fundamentals (45 minutes): For all supervisors and non-supervisors in all other states.

Training complies with all state laws including those in the following states:

California: Training for all employees required every two years.  Relevant training laws include California SB 1343 and AB 1825 (sexual harassment); AB 2053 (anti-bullying); and SB 396 (gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation).

Connecticut: Training for all employees. No retraining requirements.  (Connecticut Time’s Up Act.)

Delaware: Training for all employees every two years. (Delaware HB 360, which amended the Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act.)

Illinois: Training for all employees every year.  (Illinois’s Workplace Transparency Act, which amends the Illinois Human Rights Act.)

New York State and New York City: Training required for all employees every year. Training is required by New York State and New York City law. (NY State 2018 Budget Law and New York City Stop Sexual Harassment in NYC Act).

Maine: Training required for all employees. No retraining requirement. (ME 26 M.R.S.A §807).
